Hi, i go by Candy.
I am very new to this. I didn't think i was a food addict but when i finally put all of it together it was hard to deny. I am only about 30 pounds over weight, but i struggle with diets, i hide eating food, i hate admitting this but i throw up after eating a lot. I am obsessed with this idea of becoming skinny, its all i think about. I am a very emotional eater and i simply just can't do this any longer. I hope to get to know you and finally learn that i can eat to live not live to eat. Thanks for your time. HI, i am Candy and its nice to meet you. :P

Hi Candy,
I am glad you are here, and welcome to our Food Addict Anonymous Fellowship. Be sure to read all about FAA from the many areas of this website. As you have discovered, this is a great place to introduce yourself and connect with other food addicts. Also to ask any questions that you might have. If you are not sure that you are a food addict this link will be a help:
http://www.foodaddictsanonymous.org/are-you-food-addict.
I would also recommend attending lots of meetings of different types with several themes. You can find more information about what and when and what type by going to the following link:
http://www.foodaddictsanonymous.org/meetings
I hope this information helps in getting you started, and again welcome to FAA.
Remember we all were new at some time, and now following this new way of life one day at a time. I wish you well.

Hi Candy,
I could make a joke about your name and how its not nice to go teasing all of us, but I won't. I just want to say its nice to hear your story and hear how it is in other people's worlds. Mine situation is a bit different but strangely, I know I can still relate to how you feel and learn and heal from your story.
Thanks for sharing, welcome and may God speed your recovery and mine and all of ours. :D

Thanks Christie for reaching out,
Writing and sharing helps us all in our journey toward recovery from food addiction. We all may have a little bit of a different background, or story, but certainly have that one thing in common and that is our food addiction. I am so thankful to have been led to this fellowship, even though it has been a couple of years ago, we often feel like we are a beginner each new day. I must start each new day with the desire to turn it over to my Higher power, knowing that I cannot do this alone.
A hearty Hello to all, and Keep on Sharing. We are all in this together.
