Hi.
I am wondering about the paragraph 13. "Do not repeat the use of any starchy vegetable or grain more than THREE times per week. We can become sensitive with overuse."

Can someone please clarify what that mean...? Because on the daily meal they approach to eat grain or Starchy Vegetable two times a day (breakfast and dinner). How should I count?

Grateful for help! /Frida

If you look at the food plan there are many foods listed under the catagory of starchy vegetable, and or grains, so between the two catagories you should be able to add enough of them to your food plan without repeating any one listed more than 3 times a week. Even with beans which is also used both as a protein, but can be used as a starchy vegetable There are multiple varieties of them. I did a quick count and came up with at least 27 total, and there are several types of squash as well as beans so you actually have quite a few to choose from. Thank you for your question and I think the importance is put more on not useing the (same one) too often since then it can become a trigger and lead back into cravings. Thank you for sharing.
