Thanks to everyone for all the words of encouragement..It is Sunday and Day 4 of abstinent living for me..last night I had dinner at an Amish-style restaurant with 12 members of my family to celebrate my in-laws 57th wedding anniversary. I prepared ahead of time and looked up the menu online and was able to have an excellent dinner of broiled chicken breast, plain baked potato, cooked carrots and a tossed salad with oil and vinegar. I was full but not stuffed and enjoyed the dinner and time with my family instead of stressing about what I was eating and feeling guilty for eating the wrong things. I was even ok when we went back to my inlaws and everyone but me had pie. By the time we got home it was time for my evening snack (can't get used to calling it my metabolic adjustment lol). I had cottage cheese and blueberries and it was better than any pie (okay maybe that's a stretch but it was MUCH better for me). I feel much more in control of my eating and only have a slight headache that I can certainly live with and know will pass soon. Here's to another day free from my food addictions....

Hi Mindy, Thank you for sharing, and congrats on your Day 4 of abstinence. I think it is wonderful the way I can see that you are taking care of yourself, by doing what ever you need to do to remain abstinent. Let's all keep on keeping on, one day at a time. It works if we work it, and we certainly are worth it.

My name is Coco Food Addict in CA.

Today is my 5th day being abstinent from s/f/w and it feels great but today I had a killer headahe that was unbearable. Just hang in there and I know we will succeed. That's good to know that we can have a plain bake potato. I did not know potatoes were on the food menu for FFA Food Plan. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work
