Hi, I am a food addict. I have been on program for 7 weeks and have done really well, if I say so myself. Anyway, I have a new issue. I am soooo craving food right now. Anything and everything from chips to pizza. Now, I will say that over the last 7 weeks, I haven't been perfect, but my sponsor encourages me for progress not perfection. Honestly, I have cheated if you will, but not regularly and not everyday, maybe once a week.

I have felt cravings, but this, is extremely instense. Now, mother nature has visited, so I'm thinking it has to do with that, but really unsure. Ladies can you help me out? Will the it ever go away around that time of month? Sorry guys, I would love your advice too, but I think the ladies can understand better. I sure would love to hear from you. I think I'm losing my mind.

In order to have the cravings stop, the food has to be squeaky clean of sugar, flour and wheat - the body does indeed know if any has been eaten. FAA believes that food addiction is a biochemical disease and once sugar, flour or wheat is eaten, there is a chemical reaction in the brain that causes us to crave more, more,more...so, no you are not going crazy....it's real. I felt like I was let off the hook, when I heard that for the first time. I always felt like it was something that I should have been able to control and now I see that there is no way I can control that reaction.
