What helps get you through the day? When work gets stressful, when the kids drive you up the wall, when the phones won't quit ringing, when the dog barfs on the living room rug, what keeps you from pulling your hair out? Do you consider yourself an optimist or are you one of those people who always says, "Life sucks, get used to it." I think a sense of humor (once you get through that dreaded s/f/w/ withdrawal period) can be a huge help in dealing with daily life. Is your glass half empty or half full? I'm not trying to be Pollyanna and say life is always just wonderful, it's not. But attitude goes a long way....I've been complaining a lot lately online about trouble with abstinence.....and even I'm tired of reading it. I'd forgotten that it's up to me how I look at life....I guess it's time for one of those "attitude adjustments." I'm going to bring more humor back into my life.... I watch those goofy TV shows like The Middle and the Office...... there are a bunch of great programs on right now, and plenty of humorous books to read in the library. Working to defuse family stress with humor can also help.....
Anyone else find that a sense of humor gets them through some of the tough times?
