Okay, this just crazy! I have been known to sleep walk in my past (recent past I should say) but never sleep eating. I woke up last night eating cookies! ! ! ! ! Crazy huh? I guess I was dreaming about eating so got up in my sleep and started eating. Have really never had that happen before. I guess I can only keep food I am allowed to eat in the house.....daughter not gonna be happy about that....LOL! Be blessed, Dawn

Well I would just like to say that confession is good for the soul. Just being here and talking about this is good for you and as you suggested already making some changes where the sweets are acessible. I have heard of some who actually have a place under lock and key where the other person's food is stored. You may have to set up some boundaries if actually keeping these things in the home. Doesn't it make us realize how strong our disease is. Wow! I wish you well.:miserable:

I've heard of some, when new in abstinence, who don't have foods with sugar, flour, or wheat in the house and will ask their family members to eat them, if they need to, outside the house. When I was new, I needed to ask myself what lengths I was willing to go to in order to achieve and maintain abstinence. I wasn't popular with my husband in the beginning because I protected my abstinence like a mother tiger with a baby... if and when he got in the way or threatened it, he definitely heard about it from me! But this is life and death, in my case, and I had to be very protective. The good part about it is that he saw how serious I was.... this time. He'd seen me with all kinds of efforts and programs over the years, and always I'd cave at some point. This, I'm sticking with! Good, good luck, Dawn. We're here for you. Keep coming, and don't give up!

:miserable:The insanity of this disease, It waits to and waits and gets us when we least expect it. We must do all we can to protect ourselves...It wants us back we must be willing to go to any lengths to protect our selves, we are worth it!
I ask my family to put the food away so I am not tempted, Out of sight out of mind. It works for me...Its not my food. Its poison to me, I sure do not need the misery back in my life.
Don't give up Dawn, keep coming back...We are here for you.
