Hi,

Are there any novels with characters suffering from food addiction? I think there are many with anorexia but I don't know many with FA. I don't want it to be the focus of the novel but I don't mind.

I have a book to recommend: Lost Memory of Skin by Russell Banks.

One of the two main characters is a food addict. The other is a homeless sex offender on parole. Lots of emotional issues are examined in this book but not boring. Good novel.

Hi Sarah

I love to read, even challenging books as Lost Memory of Skin appears to be (I've looked up a couple of reviews).

Trouble is, I associate 'curling up with a book' with 'opening the biscuits' :-(

I will have to learn new behaviours!

My favorite book of all time is about addiction in general. It's called Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace. It's long, but well worth it. It's one of the reasons I ending up coming here when I realized I was addicted to food.
