Welcome Newbie!
There is an open chat tonight at 9pm Eastern (6 pm Pacific) in the FAA chat room on this website. Hope you will come. This is an informal chat rather than a regular meeting. The beginner's online meeting is Saturday at 11am Eastern (8am Pacific) and is followed by the open chat also where questions can be asked or if there are other concerns involving recovering from food addiction. You aren't alone any more.

Hi Neo,
My name is Diane and I have been in FAA recovery for the past five years. I remain forever grateful. I lovingly suggest the following for you as a newcomer:
1. Attend as many meetings as you possibly can (telephone, online, face to face, FALoop, and continue to post here on the FAA Online Support);
2. Get other food addicts names, telephone numbers and e-mail addesses (it is important to connect with other food addicts);
3. Order the Newcomer's Packet either online www.foodaddictsanonymous.org (http://www.foodaddictsanonymous.org). or contact the World Service Office by calling (561) 967-3971); (this packet is a must for any newcomer. There is valuable and helpful information in it as well as the FAA food plan);
4. Read over the FAA website www.foodaddictsanonymous.org (http://www.foodaddictsanonymous.org). (Tools For Recovery, The Guide To Abstinence which is the FAA food plan, the FAA Promises (which provide hope) - get acquainted with the website;
These are just a few suggestions to get you started. My God delivered me to the rooms of FAA to help me save my life and learn how to live a life without those addictive foods.
I remain forever grateful,
Diane
