favorite veg recipe
I like to combine wax beans, green beans, carrots (and sometimes this combination can be found in the frozen section of the grocery), and add one large onion to it while it cooks. I especially like to use this for holidays - can take 2 cups of it, and simplify the measuring for the veg. I have 2 cups raw veg at lunch time on those days along with my protein.
Re: favorite veg recipe
this is great! Are chick peas ok?
Re: favorite veg recipe
The stuff in this recipe are all veggies. 1 cup of chick peas = 1 protein (as do all beans and legumes). You could use 1 cup of the above for a cooked veggie and then add the 1 cup of chick peas for your protein. Plus one cup of raw veggie (and plus 1 grain or starchy veggie at dinner) and 1/2 a fat would equal a complete meal.
