FAA approved veggie burger brands
I'm seeking information regarding veggie burgers, soy burgers. Are there specific brands/types that are approved of in the FAA food plan?

Re: FAA approved veggie burger brands
Thank you for asking about the veggie and soy burgers. Just as I used to think they were really a good healthy product (before FAA) I also used to think that my eating the whole wheat bread meant that I was also eating healthy, by not eating the white bread. Boy have I learned a lot since my entrance to the rooms of Food Addicts Anonymous. When I have looked as these products, I have never found any that are (clean). They always have some of the hidden sugars, flours, thickeners, etc. So I stay away from them. We in program have learned a whole new way of eating. that when abstinent for awhile eliminates the cravings. That is a wonderful miracle of the program.
Having a sponsor or connecting with other food addicts you hear on the phone lines or on meetings helps to get the input of others in defining and checking foods to use or not on the food plan. The longer I work the program the easier it becomes to know and spot the wrong ingredients, but I continue to check and recheck the ingredients on everything I buy. It is a shame that they don't make these product without putting different forms of sugar in them. The other names of sugar, flour and wheat, a helpful piece of our literature will be a helpful guide for you to use. They are also listed in The Guide to Abstinence here on the FAA website:
