Something that I learned after a while in the program was that we are allowed to eat 2 t. ground flax seed per day and that helps with that particular problem! You can put it on your grain in the morning. I usually use it with my metabolic instead because I wanted that to be more substantial, so I either add it to my milk/yogurt or just eat it.
The other thing I learned from a nutritionist was that dairy might be making me feel constipated. I don't really know if it is true or not but I did switch to soymilk on her advice. However, I use dairy when I can't get the soymilk (when I travel), and I do not always get constipated so who knows? your mileage may vary.
