having trouble logging in for the chat room now..............

I thought there was a chat going on now, but every time I try, it says "error connecting to server" and to try again in a few minutes, which hasn't worked.

If there's a list of the live chats and what days/times and what time zone they occur, I would appreciate seeing it.

Hi Howard,

I'm sorry to hear you had trouble getting into the FAA Chat Room. Anyone can go anytime into the Chat Room to chat, and there are three times per week that the Chat Room is reserved:

9pm Eastern FRIDAYS -- Open Chat for Newcomers
11am Eastern SATURDAYS -- FAA Online Beginner's Meeting
1pm Eastern SUNDAYS -- FAA Online Meeting

You can also see these events in the Calendar at the top of the Forum page when you're logged in.

The other way to access the Chat Room is by going to the main page of FAA (http://www.foodaddictsanonymous.org/), clicking on "Meetings" and then clicking on "Online Meetings". Once there, click on the computer icon.

Hi Howard,

It helps to clear the browser cache before trying to access the chat room. I try to do that weekly. And it also helps to have the Java software on your machine up to date. The chat room is powered by the Java software and it can be checked at java.com. There will be a box on the home page that says something about check my machine for Java and it will recommend if your machine needs an up date or tell you that your machine is up to date.
