It is great to see how you are taking the initative to do something to help make a connection. While I think the phone meetings are a valuable asset, I also enjoy the open chat on Friday evening, as well as the online meetings. And do want to remind people that anyone can enter the chat room to have conversations with others, as long as it is not during a regular scheduled meeting for the chat room. If anyone is not aware of where this is - there are some references to the chatroom in the forums. Also you can go to the home page of this website, and go to meetings and over to online. This brings up the picture of a computer. You click on that and it opens up a place to enter a username. You do not have to enter your real name, anything is okay. then click on enter, and you are there. I am also available as a person to go to the chat, would just need to know when.
Hi here42da! Thanks very much! I think I will feel more comfortable calling people when I get to know everyone a little better. Until then, I'm trying to work the online scene. I attended the Friday night chat and met at least six people and then I caught the tail end of the Saturday meeting as I was late coming home from my f2f meeting! I'm trying to hyperfocus here as opposed to thinking about food, etc. CeCe and I are meeting up in a few minutes in the chat. We'd love to have everyone! Maybe we could meet up sometime this week! I'm available any night at 6pm and after Mon-Fri and anything on the weekends... although not to early. Can't wait to meet all of you!
Great idea, Tonya! What you might try (just a thought) is going by the Chat Room each night this week at 6pm and wait a little to see if someone drops by. Hopefully, some people will see this thread and want to join you. For anyone wanting direct access to the Chat Room, you can click on this link:
