Whenever I join a thread by posting anything, the system then automatically sends me an email to alert me if someone else responds to the same thread. So you should get an email alerting you that I have just posted this. Is that working for you?

Ora and Marilyn: Thanks for the replies. I didn't want to clog my email with notices, so I didn't select that option when I signed up. Can you tell me what the different symbols mean on the left-hand side of the threads? Trying to see if there's a way to tell what I've read and haven't read, etc. I still haven't been able to wrap my head around all the topics, sub-topics, loops, chat rooms, etc.... I'm never sure if I'm posting in the right place!

Perhaps the advanced search would do what you want --you can search things that have been posted since you last logged in or since a certain specific date. Best of luck!

oragold: Thank you. And do you know what the different colored 'envelopes' and symbols mean on the left-hand side of the thread topics? Also, what does 'sticky' mean at the beginning of some of the threads?

Many times if you hover over some of the colored envelopes or symbols with your mouse it will give you an explanation as to what it means.

For me when I enter the online support, there are two sections that I can choose from, the bottom one is new posts, and that will bring up all of the forums where there are posts that have been added since I last was on this site. They will also look like an envelope with the papers sticking up and out of the envelope. Those are the unread ones since last being here. I take them one at a time and that takes me to the last information posted in that catagory. As you finish reading each one or do additional posting at that place, it will also change it to a closed envelope. I know you can probably get a better maybe less confusing answer to your question, but meanwhile maybe that will help.

"new posts" are the first two words directly under the block where it says forum. It is near the top of the page when you first get on the online support. When you click on those words it opens up all of the posts that have been written since that last time a person has been in the online support.

here42da: Thank you! I haven't posted in a few days, to I went to the 'new posts' section first and will start from there.
