Need to start the steps....
Well, I really have thought alot about step one and two and I am a Christian so I really have come to an understanding that this addiction is beyond my control and that I need God (my HP) to help me. But I haven't even really looked at the other steps. How do I even get started?
Be blessed,
Dawn

FAA has a Step book with writings and questions to help with the Steps. One of the primary roles of a sponsor is to help us work the Steps, so you might want to talk with your sponsor about this. You can find the Step book in the FAA Store, on the regular FAA website.

I don't have a sponser. I need one but dont have face to face meetings here and have only been doing this for a little over a week.

Yes it is most helpful to start the steps with a sponsor, and the best way to get a sponsor is by reaching out to others in outreach calls. Getting contact information from the meetings, in the last 5 minutes. Contact others and when you find members that you relate too, reach out to them, eventually begin to ask if they will sponsor you. Don't get disappointet if turned down. Just ask another. Sometimes a person will start out on a temporary basis. There is a saying "When the student is ready the teacher will appear" You are right to have the desire to begin the steps. Every part of our program including the steps is essential to our wellness, not just the following of the food plan.

The steps are very important, to maintain sanity during our recovery process, pray, meditate and the H.P. will answer.
