    Hi Gabina

Thank you for your reply. I've been struggling this weekend, being away from home and not in charge of meals. Having a great time with family, but looking forward to getting back into my routine!

Just keep climbing back on the program, it's the only way :-)

    With Best wishes,

Third month weigh-in: eight and quarter pounds down

I have been struggling the last couple of weeks. Starting to nibble non-abstinent foods.

I realise I've stopped praying specifically to stay clear of s/f/w so will remedy that. I know this is the way to health and happiness!

Thank you to all who have emailed support and encouragement, and to everyone who posts on here and on the loop.

    Best regards,

Your perseverance is inspiring! I am new to the abstinence program and I find that the idea of giving up sugar is easier to swallow than giving up flour and wheat. I have a hard time with fruit because it affects my blood sugar so I am concerned I will not have much of a variety to eat. How do you keep on abstinence?

    Hi there Offcrgrl

Thank you so much for your kind words. It is a struggle at times, but I know how much better I feel on the plan than when I was filling my plate with s/f/w at every opportunity!

I used to suffer from reactive hypoglycaemia. I say 'used to' because since I have been on the program I have only had the sweaty shakes once, and that was when circumstances conspired to make me very late for one of my meals.

Keeping free from s/f/w seems to let my body balance its sugars pretty much perfectly. The metabolic adjustment at bed time keeps it level through the night.

All I can say it try it and see how you feel.

If you want to email me directly I'm on tora9864@hotmail.com.

Very best wishes for your journey.

    With love
