    Meal timing

Can anyone give me some guidance on meal timing? I find that the suggested gaps between meals (lunch = 4 hours after breakfast, dinner = 5 hours after lunch) don't always work for me. I usually don't feel like eating dinner 5 hours after lunch.

Lunch seems to be the right timing. Yesterday I got lost while walking around which delayed my lunch by 2 hours. I ended up starving and feeling very out of sorts and was really obsessing about food by the time I got home. What do you do if this happens?

I know this is something to discuss with my sponsor, but I thought it would be good to have a discussion on the forums as well so that other people with the question could share their thoughts.

Meal timing is one of those things that was the hardest part of the food plan for me. I did find, though, that when I followed the plan with the timing the way it is written out, that I got used to it and actually felt better than when I sort of "winged it". My tendency is not to eat meals closely together but rather to eat toooo far apart. The problem with that is that the end of the day can arrive and I have just eaten dinner a while ago and it's much too soon to eat the Metabolic Adjustment. Then what to do??? I sure never wanted to miss out on my MA!

I hope you are able to work this out for yourself, jeznag. There are a lot of adjustments happening when we come into the program and start eating in this new way. I'm glad you're here and asking questions. Keep coming back!
