    Anyone pretty much vegan?

My diet is the most restrictive perhaps of anyone. Besides the usual suspects meat is my trigger even fish. One hit and i just want to continue to devour and rip meat with my teeth for sport it seems. Its never enough. Eggs makes me want more as well. Im a FA first and type 2 diabetic second. I dont believe in medicating my disease when i can cure it with food. This looks like a diet of raw greens, chia/flax seeds, lemon, lime, grapefruit, sprouts, and non starchy veggies. I pray i can sustain this. Its food but it doesnt seem like it, the taste is no where near what gets me off/high/drugged. Im also not doing salt mainly for vanity reasons...dont want the puffy face. I would like to connect with anyone else that has to make drastic changes in food choices as well. Thankyou. Also any encouragement is highly welcomed, i dont have a support system at all. Thanks again.

There are people in FAA who are eating a plant based food plan! And it's working just fine for them.

They say they start the day with a green smoothie. One person told me that hers is all green plants. I have made them with a cup of water, 2 or 3 small ribs of celery, chopped pear, 2 large hands full of baby spinach and it tasted much better than it looked!

I like to put lentils on a large salad at lunch time. I also found some pea sprouts recently at the grocery and they were delicious on my salad.

The vegans I know are on the West Coast and can be found by going to the late evening phone meetings.

Best of luck in your recovery.

    vegan

I like to eat vegan too. Am finding it difficult to follow the
food plan. Wish they had a vegan FAA food plan.
Maybe we could share our food choices.
I like edamame but too much soy isn't good I hear.
