I am new to FAA. Can I substitute the raw vegetable for a cooked vegetable?
I have a steamer and it is easy to steam 2 cups of vegetables together. I also like cooked vegetables better than cold vegetables in the winter.
Thanks,
E.

Welcome, E.
In Food Addicts Anonymous, the suggested food plan calls for 1 c raw vegetables and 1 c cooked vegetables at both lunch and at dinner.
There are times when we'd want to have 2 c raw vegetables at one meal (for instance, to take a large salad to work for convenience) and we have the option of doing that. A time when we might like to have 2 c cooked vegetables would be when a recipe calls for it. I've also (rarely, though) had a dinner with 4 oz protein, 1/2 c starchy vegetable, and two cups cooked vegetable.
These are all options. What I was taught by my sponsor, and is strongly recommended in FAA, is that when I have one meal in a day with two raw vegetables, that I have two cooked vegetables for the other meal. It is definitely not recommended to have a food plan for yourself that is all raw vegetables, or all cooked vegetables. Cooked vegetables are more dense than raw vegetables (i.e., almost two cups of broccoli will "cook down" into one cup). The FAA food plan is specifically and professionally designed for food addicts to recover by obtaining and maintaining abstinence. Becoming and staying abstinent, along with working the Twelve Steps of recovery, allows us the opportunity to recover from food addiction.
Thanks for coming to Online Support and asking your questions, 4cycling. Keep coming back, this does work! :D
You can opt for frozen food....they are great substitute of raw food.
natural vitamins are also essential for liver organ and abdominal health, as well as being efficient in treating depressive disorders, flu and other diseases, which allow one's body to process more sugar for energy....
