what if I can't eat all the food

when I try to eat all the food, I feel like I'm getting too full and sometimes I feel sick to my stomach is there any hope for me using this food plan

I had trouble eating all the food at first and my sponsor had me fix the meals as suggested and to eat half of the protein for breakfast and 1/2 the grain and 1/2 the dairy and 1/2 fruit. This was to keep the protein and carbs in balance - that is how the food plan helps to keep the cravings away. And if I felt I could eat a bit more, then I was to eat a bit of protein and a bite of each of the others and to keep going like that as far as I could. I didn't have any problems eating lunch, since it was much smaller meal. I did the same thing with dinner - split it up by eating half of the protein, starchy veg, reg. cooked veg, salad and then eating as much of what was left as I could and keeping the protein and carbs in balance. It took me a couple of weeks till I could eat it all and I haven't had any problems since then with being able to eat it all at one time.

Re: what if I can't eat all the food

I felT overwelmed with so much food when I started the food plan, and my stinking thinking was telling me that if I ate less then I would loose more weight faster. I was reminded that the food plan was written for a reason like it is, and so I did struggle at first, but gradually got used to it, and it became NO PROBLEM. I try to remember the advice of the old timers, those who have been doing this for a longer period of time and have the information to come uP with he guidelines of what to do.

Having said that, There is a section in the guidelines that is read at all of the phone meetings. Number 3 reads: ADDITIONS TO FOOD PLAN--vERY ACTIVE, EXTREMELY OVERWEIGHT, PETITE ,VEGETRIANS, OR THOSE WITH SPECIFIC MEDICAL ISSUES MAY NEED TO MAKE MODIFICATIONS TO THE FOOD PLAN WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF A PHYSICIAN OR A SPONSOR. THE FOOD PLAN AS IT IS WRITTEN IS ONLY A SUGGESTION AND HAS HELLPED MANY, MANY, PEOPLE.

So check with others, or your sponsor etc. Usually there isn't just one perfect answer. Everything must be taken into consideration. Dividing up the meals has also worked for many as previously mentioned. The best thing is to eventually get back to the norm as much as possible.

This food plan made a complete change around for me. It's a miracle of the program. Thanks for bringing this subject up.
